As one of the shareholders of the Iranian automotive industry, IDRO has been constantly playing an important role in policy-making and spearheading the industry through considerable efforts made in the development and promotion of the automotive industry. Such measures led to an increase in production rate and more economical production, upgraded technology and quality, updating products on the road toward a competitive automotive industry.
The noteworthy point is that IDRO covers more than 95% of the total Iranian automotive industry.
There have been several measures taken over recent years, the most important of which are:
- Preparing the document of goals and policies of automotive development o by 2025 Horizon.
- Devising plans and guidelines concerning passenger cars, commercial vehicles and assembling.
- Signing a collaboration contract with Renault for manufacturing Tondar 90.
- Development of NGVs in order to diversify the Iranian fuel portfolio.
- Executing the quality improvement plan for automotive part-makers.
- Designing and manufacturing 3 hybrid-electric vehicles known as Rana.
- Designing and manufacturing the first automobile-exclusive lithium battery in Iran (from cell to hood).
- Devising legislation for supporting the development of hybrid and electric cars.

Iran Khodro’s products:
Producing a wide variety of passenger cars including Samand, Peugeot 206, Peugeot 207, Peugeot Pars, Peugeot 405, Tondar 90, Rana, Suzuki and several other models of Peugeot and Renault in the near future.
Producing a number of commercial vehicles such as Arisan pickup, Photon trailer truck and Arisan minibus.
Building the third Iranian national automotive brand known as Dena.
Manufacturing gasoline, diesel double-cabin pickups Tunland and Haima.

Saipa Group’s products:
