Iran commences construction of its third bio-refinery

Iran has initiated the construction of its third bio-refinery at the Iran Shipbuilding and Offshore Industries Complex (ISOICO) in the presence of the Minister of Industry, Mines and Trade, Abbas Aliabadi.

IDRO News reports that the Industrial Development and Renovation Organization of Iran (IDRO) is the project’s employer, with the Industrial Projects Management Company (IPMI) as the executor. The project’s investment is valued at 20 million euros and 25 trillion rials.

The operationalization of this bio-refinery in Bandar Abbas is anticipated to enhance Iran’s annual production by adding 66 million liters of bioethanol fuel, 66,000 tons of fermented animal feed meal, and 50,000 tons of green carbonic gas.

Currently, IDRO is also managing the construction of two additional bio-refineries in the provinces of Kermanshah and Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad.

In a recent announcement at the 28th International Oil Exhibition, IDRO’s chief, Babak Ahmadi, revealed plans to establish 30 bio-refineries nationwide.

Subsequently, Aliabadi authorized the construction of three new vessels at the ISOICO shipbuilding complex.

Moreover, the operational phase for the Middle East’s first submarine cable production complex has begun at ISOICO, marked by the presence of Aliabadi.
