IDRO’s plans for renovating sugar industry
The managing director of the Industrial Renovation Organization has said that the Industrial Development and Renovation Organization has developed comprehensive plans to renovate the sugar industry. Preliminary stages of the plans have been implemented and the government should approve a special budget in order to renovate and revamp the national sugar industry, he added.
Behzad Etemadi referred to the start of renovating and revamping the Yasouj Sugar Company, adding, “Turbines of the company were repaired long time ago. So, we repaired the turbines at the Yasouj Sugar Company and removed their defects.”
The cost of renovating the company will be revealed after further studies, he said, adding that all the costs will be burdened by the Industrial Development and Renovation Organization. It is hoped that the government would support us in this regard, he said.
The managing director of the Industrial Renovation Organization referred to the history of the company, saying that the company started activity in line with realizing IDRO’s mission related to the renovation and revamp domestic industries. So far, it has renovated and revamped the Qaemshahr Textile Industries Company and the Hafttappeh Agro-Industry Company.
Currently, we are busy with renovating and revamping the Yasouj Sugar Company, while a project at a textile company in Iranshahr and another project at a packaging and cold storing company in Iranshahr underdeveloped region are underway with the goal of job creation, Etemadi concluded.
