The caretaker of the Industrial Development and Renovation Organization of Iran (IDRO) says the group is ready to support the knowledge-based companies to convert their ideas and projects into products.

In an specialized meeting on the sidelines of an international conference on technology and innovation management, Mr. Shahriyar Taherpoor announced the IDRO’s readiness to support knowledge-based companies and technology parks to implement their projects.

He pointed to the history of activities and policies of the IDRO, adding that the mission of the group has changed through the time based on the conditions.

He reiterated that innovation necessitates need, adding that the country is in dire need of forex and now the need for foreign exchange has exposed the importance of innovation.

Taherpoor reiterated that innovation can turn sanctions into opportunity. He pointed to the role of startups and industrial knowledge-based units, adding that IDRO is ready to help them to convert their raw ideas and projects into the products.

Some organizers of the conference also expressed their views in the meeting. The international conference on Innovation and Technology Management was held at Shahid Beheshti University.
