​Iran Shipbuilding and Offshore Industries Complex Co (ISOICO), an IDRO subsidiary, successfully installed the platform 18B of the South Pars gas field. With the platform, supervised by ISOICO and built by Mobin Saze Gostar Khalije Fars, on board, Iran’s daily gas extraction from the joint gas field with Qatar will enhance. According to Hamid Rezaeian-Asl, the managing director of ISOICO, the 2,200-ton platform has an extraction capacity of 14 mcm daily. With other structures such as torch, bridge, and jacket taken into account, the platform weighs nearly 6,650 tons.  “All across the world, maritime standards are among the strictest ones and all products of ISOICO such as ships, vessels, and oil and gas platforms meet the standards. Currently, the company has managed to fulfill all its obligations to the Oil Ministry in connection with oil and gas platforms,” Rezaeian-Asl added. “Now the know-how has been indigenized in the country,” Rezaeian-Asl said, referring to domestic capacities to build oil and gas platforms from A to Z. Iran Shipbuilding and Offshore Industries Complex Co (ISOICO) is the biggest shipbuilding infrastructure in the Middle East and builds products such as ocean-going ships, business, technical, and passenger vessels as well as oil and gas platforms. The company also has overhauling experience with oil and gas drilling jack-ups. The 2,300-ton platform was loaded at Bandar-Abbas yard in June, Rezaeian-Asl said. According to Babak Abbaspour, the load-out operation was conducted with bridge and torch structures by engineers of Mobin Saze Gostar Khalije Fars. As a subsidiary of IDRO, Mobin Saze Gostar Khalije Fars is one of the biggest oil and gas platform builders of Iran and is currently responsible with developing phases 14 and 17 of South Pars gas field as well as platforms of Hendijan and Hengam oil fields. Also, the oil platform of phase 16 of South Pars gas field was built by Mobin Saze Gostar Khalije.
