S. Koreans back to South Pars gas field, two MOUs inked
A South Korean company active in oil and gas signed two memorandums of understanding with Industrial Projects Management of Iran (IPMI) to develop and complete some phases of South Pars gas field.
Speaking on the sidelines of the signing ceremony, Mansour Moazami, chairman of the board of directors of IDRO, said the companies have already been present in the Iranian oil projects.
Reminding that IPMI is currently managing phases 14, 17, and 18 of the gas field, Moazemi said “the South Korean will cooperate in offshore and onshore sectors, but most of the cooperation will be directed to onshore activities.”
The IDRO chairman further expressed readiness for cooperation, partnership, and investment in oil, gas, and petrochemical sectors, saying, IPMI plays a key role in under-construction South Pars phases.
South Korean President Park Geun-Hye arrived at Tehran on May 1stat the head of the biggest-ever traveling business delegation of over 230 executives, for a three-day visit.
