Investment Directives Under Revision in Industry Ministry
Deputy Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade and Head of Industrial Development and Organization of Iran (IDRO) says the investment directives are under revision in the ministry and some incentives are being added to the directives.
Speaking in a meeting for reviewing problems of Jahrom Special Economic Zone, Mr. Ali Nabavi said that IDRO as a developmental organization is tasked with investment and support of investors. He reiterated that the task of IDRO is not to run any enterprise but it is tasked with creating and providing required industrial infrastructures for the country, reiterating that the organization is determined in activating Jahrom Special Economic Zone.
Nabavi went on to say that the investment directives are under revision in the ministry and currently some incentives are being added to the directives to encourage more investors for investment in the free zones. He reiterated that all required infrastructures are ready in the Phase 1 of Jahrom Special Economic Zone and investors have no shortages and problems for activities in the zone.
Head of IDRO further noted that due to the capacities of the organization, it is ready for helping and supporting investors in the region.
Then Governor of Fars Province Mr. Mohammad Hadi Imanieh who was in the meeting announced readiness of the governor general for support and acceleration in activating activities in Jahrom Special Economic Zone. He added that creation of any job and hope among the youths will be more valuable than any other job.
He went on to say that since the major railway network of the south will pass through Jahrom, this special economic zone and Fars Province will become a very dynamic area in the country.
