Speaking at a press conference, Fardad Daliri, the deputy director and member of the board of directors of the Industrial Development and Renovation Organization of Iran (IDRO) said: “IDRO and the German trade show organizer Messe Stuttgart have recently signed a memorandum of understanding for holding AMB IRAN 2017 in which IDRO has been referred to as strategic partner,” according to IDRO News.

“We are impatiently waiting for playing an effective role in the successful implementation of the event which will be held in the next two weeks in Tehran,” he added.

Bernard Muller, the vice president of Messe Stuttgart, for his part, said that organizers of AMB Iran 2017 exhibition have managed to double the number of participants and triple the space of the exhibition compared to the first edition of the event which was held last year.

He expressed hope that more than 6,000 experts from different industries, including car manufacturing, spare parts supplying, tool making, casting, and mechanical engineering would visit the exhibition.

Gerhard Hein, the director of the commercial and statistics department of the Association of German Machine Tool Builders, for his part, said that the machine building and precision tools industry had manufactured products valued at more than 15.1 billion euros last year related to machinery and precision tools.

Since the beginning of 2016, we have experienced considerable rise in demand from Iran for machinery especially for oil and gas, automotive, steel, and medical industries, he noted.

He went on to say that Germany supplied a large portion of the demanded equipment, valued at 33.6 million euros, an increase of 63 percent compared with 2015.
