Advisor to IDRO director: Islamic Countries, Main Destinations for Iranian-Made Bioimplants
The advisor to the chairman of the board of directors of Industrial Development and Renovation Organization (IDRO) of Iran stated that Turkey, Malaysia, Indonesia and the Middle East are the main target markets for the Iranian-made bioimplants.
"Considering that such products are manufactured based on Islamic Sharia in Iran, so Islamic countries prefer to buy these products from Iran," Mr. Ramezan-Ali Sadeqzadeh added
Animal-based and human-based bioimplants are both manufactured, he said, adding that in Iran human-based bioimplants are produced, but in the U.S. animal-based (pig) bioimplants are produced which are contrary to Islamic Sharia. Of course, animal-based bioimplants can be manufactured according to Islamic Sharia as well.
Eye and skin bioimplants are being produced in large scale in Iran for the first time in the world, he said. Production of such bioimplants is in the phase of study in the U.S. and are yet to be manufactured in large scale, he added.
The advisor to the IDRO director went on to say that the Iranian-made bioimplants have also been welcomed in Europe. According to studies, it has been planned to establish 9 bioimplants research and production centers in different points of the country. He said.
It is better to establish these centers at medical units, near airports or even at free zones in order to provide the grounds for export of the products. It should be noted that kinds of bone, heart, tendon, ligament, eye and skin bioimplants have so far been produced under the support of Industrial Development and Renovation Organization inside the country.
