British Ambassador to Tehran Robert MacAire says he would do his best to boost cooperation between British companies with their Iranian counterparts in rail sector.

On the sidelines of the 6th International Exhibition of Rail Transportation in Tehran, MacAire met the CEO of Industrial Development and Renovation Organization of Iran (IDRO) Mr. Mansour Moazzami.

During the meeting, MacAire pointed to the good cooperation of both countries in rail industry, adding that he would do his best to lure British companies to arrive in Iran and to have joint investments with their Iranian counterparts.

Moazzami, for his part, pointed to the policies and macro plans of the country for expanding rail transportation, adding that in the urban rail transportation, IDRO has been tasked with the mega projects.

He announced IDRO and Iran’s readiness for implementation of projects in the form of international cooperation or agreements with famous companies like Stadler of Switzerland, Alstom of France, Puxin of China and other European companies which are keen to cooperate.
