Chinese envoy meets Dr. Norouzzadeh

​The chairman of the board of directors of the Industrial Development and Renovation Organization of Iran says he expects Chinese companies to invest in Iran and make joint ventures with Iranian companies.IDRO chairman Seyed Reza Norouzzadeh made the remarks in a meeting with Chinese ambassador to Tehran Pang Sen and his accompanying economic and industrial delegation.During the meeting, Norouzzadeh said IDRO has signed cooperation agreements with several Chinese companies in the rail and sea industries. “We are ready to cooperate with Chinese companies also in the oil and gas as well as car industries and make joint investment with them,” he added.“As per the law, IDRO is projected to produce 3 million tons of products from natural gas per year. Chinese companies can participate in this plan and export the products to China or other countries,” he said.The chairman of the board of directors of the Industrial Development and Renovation Organization of Iran went on to say that negotiations have been made regarding production of tires and glass tissues with Chinese companies. There are many grounds for investment which requires cooperation with Chinese companies, he noted.Pang Sen, the ambassador of China, for his part said that high-ranking officials of Chinese industrial organizations and associations as well as heads of major Chinese financial institutions have come to IDRO. “The trip is aimed to develop industrial cooperation between the two countries, identify mutual needs and build linking bridges between Iranian and Chinese companies,” he added.Over the past two years and following to meetings held between presidents of Iran and China, a positive atmosphere has been created for cooperation especially after the nuclear deal, and grounds for cooperation have been more diversified and expanded. The Chinese envoy enumerated capabilities of Chinese companies in different fields of industry, saying that Chinese companies hold a 20 percent share of global markets, so that 220 Chinese-made goods rank first in terms of the volume of products in the world.Pang Sen added that China enjoys notable advantages in building high-speed trains, renewable energies, wind power, nuclear energy, steel, cement, aluminum, tissues, plastic and refining.He called for making efforts to expedite joint industrial projects and inauguration of the projects, adding that China is ready to invest in and finance the implementation of joint projects.
