Dr. Norouzzadeh: Automotive Sector Has $15 Billion Share of National Economy
The Iranian deputy industry minister as well as the chairman of the Industrial Development and Renovation Organization of Iran said the automotive sector has an important status in the national economic growth. The automotive sector has over $15 billion share of the national economy and some 220,000 billion rials worth of parts have been imported for manufacturing vehicles in the country, he added.He made the remarks on the sidelines of a ceremony for inaugurating a specialized repair center for Cerato cars and automatic gearboxes of Saipa Company.Dr. Seyed Reza Norouzzadeh added: “Some people say why cars are not imported to the country and are not sold to people. It should be noted that importing 130,000 cars equals manufacturing 1.2 million cars in terms of value.”“We accept criticisms with our heart and soul and see people as our superior. The vehicle industry should boast itself that it has met a major portion of the country’s need and has prevented from the outflow of foreign currency. If the outflow of foreign currency for importing cars is limited, the money will be used for boosting investment inside the country and will help the national economy flourish and boom,” he said. “One of the fields people are hoped to receive better services is the after sale services. I hope that all of us to join hands to provide people with improved services,” he concluded.It should be noted that during a ceremony which was held at the place of Saipa Yadak Company located on the Karaj Makhsous Road, the specialized repair center for Cerato and Changan cars, the specialized repair center for automatic gearbox products of Saipa, and the customers club of the company were inaugurated. In addition to the chairman of the Industrial Development and Renovation Organization of Iran, representative of people of Karaj to the parliament Aziz Akbarian, representative of people of Shahriyar to the parliament Hossein Garoussi, managing director of Saipa Dr. Jamali, and a number of employees and senior managers of the industrial group were present.
