Dr. Norouzzadeh: No Limitations for Foreign Investors to Participate in Economic Plans

​The chairman of the board of directors of the Industrial Development and Renovation Organization of Iran (IDRO) said that foreign companies which are interested in investing in Iran cn participate in the country’s economic plans with one percent to one hundred percent share.Dr. Seyed Reza Norouzzadeh, told the IRIB in an exclusive interview, that the participation will take place with an eye to manufacture high quality products and export the products. He added: “We strongly oppose this point of view that Iran is a place for selling foreign-made goods. We will open doors for all foreign companies and investors which launch joint ventures with us.”“We are interested in cooperate wil the West in all fields. But, our today’s point of view is different from that of 10-15 years ago. Europeans and other countries which are intereste din cooperating with us will have the opportunity to enter the Iranian market provided that they launch joint ventures,” he said.Dr. Norouzzadeh added that the manufactured products will not be confined to the domestic market. Considering the 300 million people market around us, Iran will be the only place in which foreigners can really launch joint ventures, he noted.The chairman of the board of directors of the Industrial Development and Renovation Organization of Iran went on to say that the manufacturing of products will met needs of both domestic and foreign markets. “If joint ventures are made with the goal of exporting, we will be ready for all kinds of cooperation,” he added.Norouzzadeh referred to the petrochemical market of $4.5-6 billion value in the region, saying that considering the production of 30 million tons of alcohol for the next four years and the fact that each phase of the South Pars produces one million tons of condensate and the 20-million-ton Siraf Complex which will be established by the Oil Ministry is cooperation with the private sector, we will need 200 ships of 50-100 thousand tons capacity to carry and export the products.
