​Following the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between IDRO and Bavarian Industry Association, a six-member delegation from the association visited IDRO officials as a follow-up to the MOU signed between the two sides.

The reports says parts of the delegation were top decision-makers of the association including its Chief Executive Officer (CEO), deputy CEO,  heads of foreign branches and international marketing, coordination officer, and executive consultant.

The German delegation held a session with Mr. Saberi, vice president of IDRO, and Mr. Daliri, IDRO deputy for the development of macro energy projects and infrastructure, to share ideas on possible cooperation areas from investment projects to the transfer of technology. At the end of the session which included some technical talks on the functions of the two aforesaid areas, the two sides wrote and signed the minutes.

Referring to the successful cooperation between Germany and Iran over the past years,Mr. Saberi called for the German side’s seriousness and preparedness to play a role in IDRO projects. Also, in the session, Bavarian Industry Association CEO expressed the association’s readiness and all its affiliated companies, hoping for German partners and companies to establish bilateral technical and technological cooperation with Iranian partners with an export focus. 

At the end of the session, the German side agreed to send a list of its subsidiaries which matches IDRO’s cooperation priorities, including maritime industries, machinery and equipment manufacturing, steel, automotive industry, railway, airplane, environment, oil and gas, petrochemistry, and technical training. Having received the list, IDRO will select Iranian and German pairs so as to start further negotiations. Therefore, the two sides agreed to supervise bilateral cooperation between the companies in order to enhance efficiency of the ties. It is worthwhile to note that following the signing of an MOU in November 2015, Bavarian Industry Association opened its office in IDRO.
