IDRO chairman expresses readiness to expand ties with foreign partnersMartin Tlapa, deputy state secretary for European affairs at the office of the government of Czech Republic, at the head of a high-ranking delegation, met with Dr. Mansour Moazami, the chairman of the board of directors of the Industrial Development and Renovation Organization of Iran (IDRO) as well as deputy industry minister. According to the report, Tlapa first introduced visiting company representatives, welcoming normalization of economic and industrial cooperation with Iran in the post-sanctions Iran. The official further called for expansion of bilateral ties between the two countries, saying, there are many industrial fields in which the Czech Republicis active. “There are no constraints on cooperating with Iran in sectors such as railways, automotive industry, tractor manufacturing, oil refinery construction, water desalination, etc. Also, in the session, Dr. Moazami, for his part, welcomed the visiting delegation, maintaining that Iran and the Czech Republic have great capacities for bilateral cooperation.The IDRO chairman further expressed hope that delegation exchanges between the two countries will result in constructive bonds. Referring to IDRO as the oldest development organization in Iran and giving a brief description of the organization’s industrial achievements over the past five decades, Dr. Moazami held that IDRO is ready to strengthen its ties in different industrial sectors with foreign partners, including Czech ones. Elsewhere in his remarks, Dr. Moazami said the Czech Republic has already been very active in Iran’s industry and it is hoped the signing of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action between Iran and the West results in cementing ties. According to the IDRO chairman, a key and safe way of boosting partnership between the two sides is establishing joint consortiums and investment companies. Also, in the session attending Czech companies introduced their fields of activity and showed interest in winning partnership with Iranian counterparts. Additionally, Mr. Daliri, IDRO deputy for the development of industrial investments, introduced IDRO and its future plans for cooperation in the post-sanctions era, putting forward the organization’s proposals for cooperation and investment. Finally, it was arranged that Czech companies propose their executive suggestions to achieve agreements.
