Eng. Gholamreza Shafei, the chairman of the board of directors of the industrial Development and Renovation Organization appointed Mohsen Sharifinia as the new director for planning and human development affairs of the organization.

In the inauguration ceremony of the new director of IDRO for planning affairs, Eng. Shafei said that the planning department is tasked with planning for the organization and evaluating activities of other departments of the organization. Proper planning and appropriate evaluation of activities require unity and cooperation among all the departments in IDRO. Such cooperation should be carried out with more cordiality, he stressed.

The IDRO chairman added that considering the administration’s expectations during its provincial trips and the expectations of the respected parliament members regarding the establishment of industrial units in different cities, the Industrial Development and Renovation Organization of Iran has proposed a program titled “300 points, 300 plans” aimed to invest in establishing industrial units and transferring the units to the private sector. It is hoped that the plan would be discussed and ratified by related bodies in the near future, he said.

Due to the privatization of companies, which were affiliated to IDRO, according to the Article 44 of the Constitution, necessary budget for implementing the “300 points, 300 plan” program should be secured by the administration and the parliament, Shafei added.

The deputy minister of industry, mine, and trade also said that the mentioned plans are in the medium size and if the required budget for each plan is estimated to be 200-300 billion rials, about 60-90 trillion rials would be needed to implement all the 300 plans. The budget should be provided within 2 years, he noted.

Shafei went on saying that technical and economic studies related to a number of the plans have been finished. Some of the plans enjoy modern technologies and their implementation had been approved in previous years by the administration, he added.

It should be noted that Dr. Gholami, the former director of IDRO for planning affairs, was appreciated for his efforts.
