​The Iranian deputy industry, mining, and trade minister has said that there are expanded industrial infrastructures and experienced officials in the country. He referred to the country’s high capability to reach all the industrial levels in the world. He went on to say that Iran Shipbuilding and Offshore Industries Company (ISOICO) is capable of building ocean liners.Addressing the national seminar on successes and challenges of maritime industries with internal and external prospects, which was held on the sidelines of the sixteenth conference on maritime industry, Dr. Seyyed Reza Norouzzadeh said that the Industrial Development and Renovation Organization of Iran (IDRO), as a developmental organization, plays a key role in the country’s industrial development.Benefiting from experienced human resources and expanded industrial infrastructures, Iran can boost industrial activities in all areas, so that there is no industrial activity for us impossible, he said.Dr. Norouzzadeh reiterated that achieving all the levels of industrial projects in the world is possible. He referred to the activity of Iran Shipbuilding and Offshore Industries Company, saying that “through proper planning we intend to resolve problems of this large industrial complex in the southern part of the country in order to improve its position.”In line with the recent approval of the parliament and the administration, the Industrial Development and Renovation Organization of Iran is planning to reactivate industrial units with a new approach in order to expand the activity of industrial units and support the activity of Iran Shipbuilding and Offshore Industries Company, as a leading unit, he explained.The chairman of the board of directors of the Industrial Development and Renovation Organization of Iran said that the organization is not competing with the private sector. The organization is cooperating with the private sector to resolve problems of industrial units in order to be able to continue operating, he noted. He expressed hope that ISOICO, which is a large industrial and shipbuilding complex, would continue operating. Currently, two ships are being repaired by the ISOICO. However, this large industrial complex requires more financial resource, he added.He emphasized the need to build ocean liners by Iran Shipbuilding and Offshore Industries Company, saying that building ocean liners should be on the agenda by the ISOICO as a national plan. It is hoped that activities of this large industrial complex will be expanded, he said.
