In a meeting between Dr. Norouzzadeh and Egyptian deputy industry and trade minister; Tehran, Cairo Hope to Expand Industrial Cooperation
The Egyptian deputy industry and trade minister as well as the chairman of the Egyptian Industrial Development Authority (IDA), Ismail Jaber, met with Dr. Norouzzadeh, the chairman of the Industrial Development and Renovation Organization of Iran (IDRO).During the meeting, Ismail Jaber described activities of the Egyptian Industrial Development Authority (IDA) and discussed ways with the chairman of IDRO to expand cooperation between the two large developmental organizations of Iran and Egypt.Jaber said that IDA provides Egyptian investors with plots and land and infrastructural facilities free of charge. He went on to say that Egypt is open to investors in different fields of industry and is ready to benefit from experiences of the Industrial Development and Renovation Organization of Iran regarding investment and industrial development.“We welcome Iranian companies for investing in Egyptian automotive, shipbuilding, and other industries and we are ready to import Iranian technology in these fields,” he said.Dr. Norouzzadeh, for his part, said that Egypt is among the Muslim countries we are interested in seeing their growth. The Industrial Development and Renovation Organization of Iran and Iranian private companies are ready to cooperate with Egyptian partners in different areas, he added.The deputy industry, mining, and trade minister went on to say that “If Iranian cars are welcomed in the Egyptian market, we are ready to sell these cars in Egypt.” The shipbuilding factory in Bandar Abbas, which is belonged to IDRO, is ready to build and operate kinds of middle-sized vessels special for transporting passengers and cargo in Suez Canal, he added.Fardad Daliri, the deputy director of the Industrial Development and Renovation Organization of Iran for large energy and infrastructure projects development, for his part, briefed the Egyptian official with information about IDRO’s history and activities in the industrial development. At the end of the meeting, Dr. Norouzzadeh tasked the related department with providing the Egyptian official with his requested information and data.
