Industry, Mine and Trade Minister Mr. Mehdi Ghazanfari has announced three good news 45 days after the Supreme Leader called the new Iranian calendar year as the “Year of National Production”.

The industry, mine and trade minister said that 20 trillion rials in banking facilities will be allocated to semi-finished projects. Also 3 trillion rials will be paid to vulnerable industrial units facing problems and that the price of milk will be reduced to the price related to March.

Ghazanfari referred to the most important plans of the ministry to materialize objectives of the Year of National Production, saying that in line with naming the current year, several different plans have been prepared. The plans were discussed in the working group special for supporting domestic production, and they will be finalized in the next session of the working group, he added.

Completing the semi-finished plan is among programs for the current year, he said, adding that fortunately some measures have been taken to benefit from people’s capital to implement industrial and mining projects. Some 300 projects, with above 60 percent progress, were selected and announced to the government as the Mehr-e Mandegar plans, he noted.

He also said that the ministry of industry, mine and trade and the ministry of finance and economic affairs have come to terms on allocating 20 trillion rials to complete semi-finished projects and inaugurate the projects by the end of the current year. In fact, the ministries aim to use people’s capitals to create job and boost national production.

Producing high quality goods in “Year of National Production”

The minister of industry, mine and trade touched on activities of the ministry to promote the production of high quality goods, saying that the ministry has sent letters to a large number of manufacturing units and they have been requested to announce their plans to boost production, improve quality of products, enhance productivity, expand exports and reduce consumer prices, as well.

The production unit shave been called on to present their data and analytic reports by May 4, Ghazanfari said. A set of educational programs have been prepared to improve quality of production units, he said, adding that a number of units are required to enhance technology and we have considered special plans in this regard.

If we are provided with necessary budget out of implementing the subsidy reform plan, we will certainly support the units in the frame of packages to overhaul machinery, improve technology and enhance quality of products, he noted.

The issue of quality is not confined to hardware subjects, but it also includes software and management systems, as well, he said. In the Year of National Production effective educational programs have been prepared, aiming to reduce consumer prices and improve quality of products in cooperation with the private sector.
