​Deputy Director  of the Trade Promotion Organization (TPO) Mohammad Reza Movadvadi said export incentives are in the pipeline, adding that cash and non-cash banking facilities to the tune of $57.14 million and $14.28 million, respectively, have been considered to boost export activities. Movadvadi added that cash incentives will be offered in the form of banking facilities and for this, TPO and Export Development Bank of Iran have signed an agreement, according to the public relations office of TPO. However, no credit has been allocated yet by the Management and Planning Organization. “If required funding is allocated by the end of the 2015, all of those who have put in their loan requests for export activities can apply,” Movadvadi was quoted as saying. On non-cash export incentives, the TPO official said the incentives will be allocated to education, technical workshops, and infrastructural development particularly in maritime and air transportation. In line with the goals, regular shipping lines in the north of the country bound for Astrakhan and Aktauports have been operated and regular shipping lines to Oman have also been operated from mid-February of 2016.However, Movadvadi said the private sector’s welcoming of the subsidies considered for export activities has been cold, adding that export development plans are not appropriately used and one year after the launching of regular shipping lines to Astrakhan port, for example, its real efficiency has been less than 30 percent.  Referring to offering bonuses and allowances to participation in foreign exhibitions, Movadvadi said for new marketing projects, there is a need to develop transportation infrastructures and help the private sector to participate in foreign exhibitions through paying subsidies to the sector. But, the private sector is really reluctant, resulting in lower efficiency indexes, Movadvadi noted.
