​Top winners of the first National Award on Energy Management were introduced in a ceremony which was attended by Dr. Norouzzadeh, the chairman of the board of directors of the Industrial Development and Renovation Organization of Iran (IDRO) as well as the deputy minister of industry, mining, and trade.Kavir Tyre Company, Fanavaran Petrochemical Company, and Lamerd Cement Company were introduced as the top winners at the first National Award on Energy Management, and received silver badges. Also, Zaveh Torbat Cement Company, Shazand Thermal Power Plant, Khorasan Petrochemical Company, Maroon Petrochemical Company, East Azarbaijan Pegah Company, and Bandar Abbas Oil Refining Company received bronze badges. No company was honored with receiving golden badge.Meanwhile, managers of three companies, namely Bandar Abbas Oil Refining Company, Khorasan Petrochemical Company, and Yazd Tyre Industries Company, were named the top managers of the energy sector. In addition to the chairman of the board of directors of the Industrial Development and Renovation Organization of Iran, Nayyereh Piroozbakht, the chairwoman of the National Standards Organization of Iran, and Nosratollah Seifi, the managing director of the Fuel Conservation Company, and a number of managers of industrial companies were present in the ceremony.The National Award on Energy Management was organized two years ago by the Industrial Management Organization of Iran, which is a subsidiary of the Industrial Development and Renovation Organization of Iran. Sixteen industrial groups attended the ceremony, of which 9 companies which met energy saving standards received silver and bronze badges.
