Saipa inks MOU with Chinese TJI car design and engineering company
Saipa has inked a memorandum of understanding
(MOU) with Chinese TJ Innova Engineering and Technology Company (TJI) to expand
bilateral cooperation.
The MOU was signed by managing directors of
the two companies in the presence of Eng. Shafei, the Iranian deputy industry,
mines, and trade minister, as well as the chairman of the board of directors of
the Industrial Development and Renovation Organization
of Iran (IDRO).
On the sidelines of the
signing ceremony, Eng. Shafei said that the cooperation between TJ Innova
Engineering and Technology Company and Saipa is an opportunity for the two
sides to enhance the level of bilateral ties.
Eng. Madani, the
managing director of Saipa, said for his part that the MOU will pave the way
for Saipa and TJI to start cooperation in designing car platforms. “The two
companies will expand cooperation.
They will include
engineering procedures, economic studies, and joint investments in their
bilateral relations after signing the agreement.”
It should be noted that TJI is one of the
largest car design and engineering companies in China. It has concluded several
contracts with Chinese and European companies for designing cars. The company
has designed over 40 percent of Chinese-made cars in the market.
