Senior MP: Parliament supports foreign investment 

Head of the parliament's Industries and Mines Commission Aziz Akbarian has said the parliament will fully support foreign investment in the country with the aim of shoring up the national economy.

 

The parliamentarian made the remarks on a live TV program attended by DIRO Chairman Dr. Mansour Moazami.

 

“For our industry to flourish, we need foreign investment up to $200 billion, and to achieve the goal, we welcome foreign investors as far as they accept our investment conditions,” Akbarian said.

 

He was making the comments in connection with the recent contract between Renault and IDRO.

 

Referring to the contract, Akbarian stressed the domestic market is now saturated and exports activities require the capacity to compete with international giants.
