Sensitivity on Passive Defense Issue Is Felt More Today

The conference on the passive defense of Industrial Development and Renovation Organization of Iran (IDRO) and its subsidiary companies was held in the presence of deputy industry, mine and trade minister and head of board of directors of IDRO, deputy head of Passive Defense Organization as well as some managers of IDRO and its subsidiary companies.

Addressing the conference which was held on the occasion of passive defense week, Head of IDRO Mr. Ali Nabavi briefed the audience of some passive defense measures of IDRO and its affiliate plants, and added that with recent incidents the sensitivity to the issue of the passive defense is felt more than ever.

He also termed cyber and modern threats as one of the most important and sensitive issues in the country which needs up-to-date and continuous actions and measures of the organization.

Then Deputy Head of National Passive Defense Organization Alireza Mobarak termed industrial groups and industrial activists as the soldiers of the production war front, earning forex and wealth of the knowledge-based companies, and stipulated that passive defense in industries means protecting continuation of production and offering services.

He called very important the identification of threats ahead and thwarting them for production and progress, and said that anything which causes disrupt in the trend of increasing production should be considered as threat.

Mobarak then pointed to the rise in the number of cyber-attacks in the country, and said that enemy is determined to create disrupt and it has targeted the fields which are related to the job, economy and services of the public.

Then director of the security department of IDRO gave a report of major actions of IDRO regarding the passive defense in the units under coverage of the organization.
