Siemens shows interest in railway cooperation with IDRO
During a visit with IDRO Chairman, a Siemens business delegation headed by Mattias Koch showed interest in bilateral cooperation with Iran’s largest investment organization in the railway sector.
Dr. Moazami welcomed the initiative, saying foreign investment in Iran should make the maximum use of the country’s domestic capacities.
Supporting the joint venture framework as the best form of investment between Iranian and international partners, the IDRO top figure emphasized that the government has commissioned IDRO to build 2000 rail cars.
To achieve the goal, IDRO looks positively at cooperation with Siemens in the railway industry particularly if the giant company engages IDRO subsidiaries in the process.
The two sides agreed to prepare proposals for future discussion and cooperation.
